Control Panel Manufacturing & Repair

NEXORA manufactures new industrial control panels and repairs, modifies and upgrades existing ones. Panels are built to the electrical drawing and to the physical constraints of the site — available wall space, cable entry direction, ambient temperature and the level of dust the enclosure has to keep out.

Because we fabricate our own enclosures, a panel does not have to be forced into a standard box. Cut-outs, gland plates, cooling arrangements, mounting arrangements and internal layout are made to suit the equipment and the location.

New Panel Manufacturing

Manufacturing covers enclosure fabrication and finishing, back-plate layout, DIN rail and trunking installation, power and control wiring, ferruling and labelling, and functional testing before dispatch. Component selection follows the specification supplied — or we can propose a schedule of components for approval.

Panel Repair, Modification and Upgrade

Existing panels are repaired after burnout, water ingress, dust contamination or component failure. Common upgrade work includes converting direct-on-line starters to soft starters or variable frequency drives, adding protection and metering, replacing obsolete contactors and relays, and rebuilding sections of a motor control centre without taking the whole board out of service.

Our Process

  1. Requirement and drawing review

    We confirm the load schedule, control philosophy, enclosure environment and any site constraints before quoting.

  2. Enclosure fabrication

    The enclosure is fabricated, prepared and finished in-house to the agreed dimensions and protection level.

  3. Assembly and wiring

    Back-plate components are mounted, power and control wiring is installed, ferruled and labelled to the drawing.

  4. Testing

    Continuity, insulation and functional checks are completed and recorded before the panel leaves the workshop.

  5. Delivery and site support

    Panels are delivered and, where required, installed, terminated and commissioned by our site team.
