Generator Services

Standby and prime power generation is only useful when the set starts and carries load on demand. NEXORA services industrial generators across both disciplines — the alternator and its electrical system, and the engine and its mechanical assemblies — so a fault is resolved completely rather than passed between two contractors.

Work ranges from routine service visits and load-related fault finding through to full alternator rewinding. Where a set is failing intermittently, we test under load rather than at idle, because most generator faults only reveal themselves when the machine is working.

Alternator Rewinding and Electrical Repair

Stator and rotor windings are tested, stripped and rewound where insulation has broken down. Excitation systems, diodes, AVRs and control wiring are checked and replaced as required, and the set is retested on load before handover.

Mechanical Repair and Maintenance

Mechanical work covers engine ancillaries, cooling systems, mounting and alignment, coupling condition and vibration. Scheduled maintenance is planned around your operating hours, with a written record of what was inspected and replaced at each visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Wherever the fault and site conditions allow, yes. Alternator rewinding and major mechanical work are normally carried out in the workshop.
